Greetings to all and a very Merry Christmas!! I trust that each one of you remembers the reason we celebrate this very special day. the birthday of our King! What a very special gift He was to us. As I reflect on 2008, I think of both great joy and great sadness. My brother Douglas passed away on September 13. On this earth he was never able to walk or talk like other children but I know without a shadow of a doubt that he's now walking with all the other children on the beautiful streets of gold. A week after douglas passed away, my dad was run over by a tractor. God was definitely present in the accident because dad ended up with a broken foot; this could have been much, much worse. He's still laid up but trying to remain in fairly good spirits. Please keep him in your prayers as you think about it. The doctor is saying he'll be lucky if he's healed before March since there are some other issues going on which includes a blood clot in his leg. I'm not sure how I would have handled the events of this past year without the love and support of my church family and my friends that were never shy to help out when they were needed. April brought Erin and I a new son, Braxton. He's a very bounncccy baby boy. Our 2 yr. old daughter Shylah is talking in complete sentences and follows directions very well. We're still working on potty training her but she's not cooperating very well with this. May you and yours have the Merriest Christmas and remember that wherever we go and whichever way we turn, God is there and He "will never leave us nor forsake us". "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY 2009! |
